Debrief from Wendy Aikenhead, Charities and Fundraising secretary.

The McMillian coffee morning we ran jointly with Swanley Town Council was a great success we raised £360 on the day plus there may be a few more donations to add to it. Thank you to Jo and pam who sent some nice homemade cakes in, and to those that attended, we were low on numbers from the club but many do work. We had a guitarist (Andy) and a singer (John. A) who entertained us for 2 and a half hours. I spoke to Laura Trott MP who said she heard the music and it made her smile and feel happy, we had a nice chat about the club and home start and I also spoke with a Sevenoaks councillor Graham Clack who was a very nice gentleman accompanying Laura. Laura was impressed with Johns singing and said she had heard a lot of good things about him which was very nice. Home Start attended the event with hope to recruit volunteers to help families in Swanley.
